A Connected Desk

A truly unique desk, Maturin is connected and equipped with LED lights, powered by an electric cord. 

Stubborn and secretive like its real-life counterparts, Maturin hides sliding compartments and secret drawers for correspondence and pending documents. After work, it closes like a traditional secretary desk thanks to a finely crafted movable screen that conceals the functional space. This graceful “animal” then reveals only a subtle play of light filtering through the patterns of its backlit panel.

A singular desk with a strong character, Maturin conceals sliding compartments, secret drawers, and a work surface powered by an electric cord. After work, Maturin retreats behind a finely crafted movable screen, letting a halo of light filter through its patterns. In the manner of traditional secretary desks, he combines utility with poetry, paying a subtle homage to craftsmanship of the past.

Crafted in our workshop in Fontain, Franche-Comté, Maturin is made from HPL (high-pressure laminate), a dense, highly durable, and resilient material. It withstands extreme temperatures and everyday conditions without compromise. True to our commitment to responsible production, Maturin is delivered flat, reducing the carbon impact of transport and ensuring simple, intuitive assembly.. 

A soft cloth and a little soapy water are all that’s needed to maintain its refined silhouette. A faithful work companion by day and a luminous sculpture by night, Maturin moves through the seasons and the changes of an interior with patience and subtlety.
