The awakening of the Olympian goddesses


Rachel Convers's two new creations, named Téa and Elena, are a celebration of the goddesses of Olympus. Imbued with an ethereal lightness, the majestic sculptures of Téa and Elena stand proudly, carved in a dazzlingly pure white marble, alabaster. This diaphanous dominant contrasts with the pre-established codes of the Collector collection, and affirms Rachel Convers's new artistic choice.


The duality of the goddesses of Alabaster


In the context of the goddesses Téa and Elena, the question of gender emerges. The two divinities seem to transcend patriarchal boundaries, simultaneously embodying feminine traits as well as elements borrowed from the masculine register. Once again, the artist is seeking to establish the ambiguity of gender. Téa, whose name evokes the goddess, confronts the viewer with a troubling ambivalence between the symbols of femininity, such as flowers and butterflies, and a face with androgynous features.

In this interview, Rachel Convers talks about her new creations for Ibride, Téa and Éléna. Driven by the desire to give life to the inanimate, she has chosen to defy the limits of art by infusing motionless forms with subtle movement.


Téa, an alabaster deity with a suspended aura, stands tall and serene, exuding timeless grace. Sculpted in an almost celestial whiteness, this enigmatic figure challenges the conventions of static portraiture: two faces subtly emerge, blurring perception and creating a captivating visual tension. At once floral and mineral, delicate and commanding, Téa embodies a new form of mythology, where the material itself seems infused with an inner life. She finds a natural resonance with Elena, forming a visual and symbolic harmony where contrasts respond to one another and personalities balance perfectly.

The image is printed on aluminum Dibond and precisely cut to showcase the full majesty of its silhouette. The solid laminate frame enhances both durability and structural integrity. Made and assembled in our Fontain workshop, each piece is produced in a limited, numbered edition and comes with a certificate of authenticity hand-signed by Rachel Convers.

The Collector Portrait Téa can be hung using a discreet mounting system on the back. To preserve the vibrancy of its colors and the precision of its details, it is recommended to clean the portrait with a dry cloth only.
