 The Roma collection: a triptych inspired by ancient monuments

Created by Belgian designer Frederik Delbart, the Roma collection pays tribute to the oldest monuments of Italy’s capital. Alongside the Colisée coffee table, a smaller table and a console reinterpret the Castrense amphitheater and the Circus Maximus, all translated into contemporary furniture.

A Coffee Table with the Spirit of the Colosseum

 With Petit Colisée, Ibride tells the story of Rome differently: not through its grandeur, but through the power of its details and the way its architecture engages with the intimate.

Petit Colisée is a coffee table from the Roma collection, designed by Belgian designer Frederik Delbart. A more intimate variation of the Colisée table, it draws inspiration from the Castrense amphitheater, built in Rome in the 3rd century. Its tripod base, formed of three openwork arches, conveys both stability and lightness, reflecting the contained power of its ancient model. Its compact size makes it perfect as a side table, coffee table, or end table, fitting naturally into a living room or bedroom.

 The Petit Colisée coffee table is crafted in Besançon, in the Franche-Comté region, within the Ibride workshop. Its base is made of locally sourced light oak, worked using an exclusive openwork technique that makes the wood both flexible and visually graphic. The tabletop, made of high-density Fenix® laminate and presented here in Vert Comodoro, combines a velvety touch with resistance to water, scratches, and fingerprints. Each piece in the Roma collection also offers the possibility of color customization for the tabletop, selected from a wide palette of shades, at no additional cost when all three pieces are ordered together.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, Petit Colisée adapts effortlessly to a variety of spaces: as a side table in the living room, a coffee table next to a sofa, or a stand in a bedroom. The Fenix top, resistant to scratches and easy to maintain, can be cleaned with a simple damp soft cloth. The solid wood base requires only regular care to preserve its natural luster. This coffee table is intended for indoor use only.
